About Us

Vision & Values

“We are a part of a corporate family with a deep-rooted belief in value-based business.”

We are driven by our core values of Quality, Partnership & Responsibility to deliver excellence to all stakeholders in our business: ourselves, suppliers, the community and, above all, our valued customers.

Our Heritage

Ludlow Jute Mills was founded in 1921 by the Ludlow Corp. of Ludlow, Massachusetts, United States. In 1977, it was acquired by the Kanoria family and has continued to be a trailblazer in the development of jute products and the jute industry in India.

At Ludlow, we take pride in innovation. In addition to the traditional applications of jute, such as fabrics for packaging, we have created and perfected products such as special yarn, scrim, and the jute soil saver. An innovation by Ludlow, “soil saver,” our registered trademark, has now become a generic term for soil erosion control.

Our Chairman, R.V. Kanoria was the Chairman of the Indian Jute Mill Association from 1982 to 1984, and has worked closely with the Indian government to develop fair pricing systems for jute products that ultimately benefit jute farmers. The policies introduced during his tenure are in effect even today.
